Latest in Raksha Bnadhan

The great and loving festival of Raksha Bandhan needs no introduction as it is the most popular festival which is celebrated in the month of August. Brother and sisters from all over the world send their good wishes to each other by tying Rakhi and exchanging Rakhi gifts. This day is marked as national holiday, therefore, all schools and offices are closed on this day. A lot has changed over these years right from our celebration types to eatables. Rakhi has become contemporary and siblings are exploring new ways to make it more innovative.

Changeover in Eatables
Sweets are considered as the most auspicious dessert to be used in any festival. People use it for every religious purpose also. But with the new generation, things are changing so rapidly that our old customs have somewhere lost. They prefer more of sugar free sweets and to add to it cakes. Cakes are the new sweet dish that we are using and so marketers have launches a variety of cakes and the most popular among them is 3-D cakes.

Shopping preferences
E-commerce has created an upheaval in the online world which gives birth to more comfort and saves time. The comfort level they are providing right now is what pulling more customers. Likewise for the festival they adore themselves with beautiful display pictures of Gifts and Rakhi related stuffs at good prices which definitely make you an immediate buyer. Also those who are living far from their brothers send Rakhi to India with their special services. So yes it is easier, better and affordable.

Our Celebration
When it comes to celebration things have not randomly changed as still some girls do the whole Puja thing but to some it’s outdated. Usually sisters do the simple Tilak, Rakhi tying and gift giving ceremony. They don’t do fasting, meal making and early morning Puja. Definitely things have changed to large extent but their love towards brother has not changed a bit and will not even going to be.

Gift giving process
Earlier in the name of gifts, brothers usually gave cash or something ornamental but today the new generation has picked their own choices. As Face Book has arrives, people are more keen to upload their photos and status with something catchy and astonishing. Therefore, they flock towards more trendy gifts which are available in online as well as offline stores.

Not only in this festival but almost every festival is becoming innovative. The month of August is full of celebrations and holidays as three occasions are widely celebrated in this time i.e. Friendship Day, Raksha Bandhan and Independence Day.
